Volunteer Opportunities NOBLE prides itself on community outreach
Take 25- NOBLE is a partner orgnization in the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's Take 25 campaign where parents, caregivers and others who care about children take 25 minutes out of their day on May 25th (National Missing Children's Day) to talk with children about safety.
The Law and You- NOBLE partnered with the Allstate Insurance Company to produce a brochure and video entitled, "the Law & You: Guidelines for interaction with law enforcement officials." Targeted at teens, the guide offers suggestions on how to communicate effectively with law enforcement officials during traffic stops and other law enforcement encounters. Through the use of an interactive videotape and curriculum, NOBLE members conduct local training workshops for high school students and community organizations.
The NOBLE Reading Patrol- NOBLE members read books to and with children in schools and community centers to help improve children's reading skills. NOBLE has partnered with Fight Crime Invest in Kids who provide books for this initiative.
Adopt-a-School programs - Many NOBLE chapters have adopted schools throughout the country, serving as mentors, purchasing needed supplies and safety patrol raincoats and sometimes giving teachers a brreak so that they can take required in-service training courses.
Verizon Hopleline- In recognition of Domestic Violence Month NOBLE chpaters collect cellphones as part of the Verizon Wireless Hopeline Project where the used phones are reprogrammed to provide a lifeline for victims of domestic violence.
NOBLE members also sponsor food, clothing and holiday toy drivesfor those in need.
NOBLE also provides scholarships to high school and college students (eligibility varies) at both the national and chapter levels.
NOBLE chapters also sponsor numerous poster and essay contests.
